Longtime no post and a visit enjoyed
The other evening, on MLK Day, My fraternal brother, Adam Batchelder and I took advantage of Him passing through Athens on his way to Philly to visit the good men at American Union #1 in Marietta Ohio. We were well received and enjoyed the courtesy of brotherhood extended to us by the newly installed officers and Worshipful Master. Their newest Brother, Bro. Wilson returned his EA work in fine form. Afterward a dinner was enjoyed.
The lodge room was a merit to our oldest lodge which provided a stair case of 3,5, & 7 steps. There is a nearby Historical Marker which Reads: "The American Union Lodge No. 1 Free & Accepted Masons" For more information about this wonderful lodge whose edifice and brethren are a credit to the Fraternity, check them out on their web page. Thank you Brethren for your fraternal hospitality!
Both of us look forward to seeing them again. As for myself, I plan to attend their stated in February to take in what I am sure will be an excellent Fellowcraft Degree. BTW, I am the good looking one on the right!
